More than 2200 years ago Antiochus who had a mighty army, outlawed fundamentals of Judaism and defiled the Temple in Jerusalem. Maccabees revolted against Greeks and were able to win one the battle after another, and eventually the war was won.
Why is Chanukah called the Festival of Lights? What is special about this holy day?
