Jewish a cappella group Pella Singers present a holiday medley in observance of Chanukah. Originally posted to YouTube in 2012 but subsequently deleted, the video has been posted anew for those who enjoyed it initially and for those who are discovering it for the first time.
Pleasing colorized video portions are contrasted with stark black and white reminders of the world situation as the Pella Singers rejoice with the gift of Chanukah.
The viewer is reminded of God’s gift as a gift box wrapped in holiday paper is passed among the entertainers. As the gift box changes hands, shades of video gray are filled with living color.
Parts of the performance are reminiscent of Adam Sandler’s classic Chanukah Song from Saturday Night Live. Thanks and a tip of the hat to the Pella Singers for restoring this entertaining video to YouTube for our enjoyment and inspiration.
