Though joyous, Rosh Hashanah is also a semi-solemn time in preparation for the Ten Days of Awe and upcoming Yom Kippur. Rosh Hashanah falls on the first and second days of the month of Tishrei on the Jewish calendar. It is generally a time of prayer, shofar blowing, reflection on the past year, and the blessings God has bestowed upon us during the year past.
